Publishing & Marketing Realities for the Emerging Author by Christine Rose is a wonderful resource and will definitely stay on my electronic keepers shelf. “I needed publishing answers and found them quickly in Christine’s Publishing and Marketing Realities. She speaks from her own hard learned experience, not relying on observations of others or second hand advice. If you’re serious about success in today’s fast changing publishing lanes, read this book now!” ~John Smith via Amazon.com Reviews

“I really wish this book had been available when I first started writing and querying literary agents, because it would have left me a lot less frustrated. I would have been better prepared for entering the industry thanks to Rose’s step-by-step guide for surviving the overwhelming world of publishing. I also would have started using Facebook, Twitter, and blogging to my advantage a lot sooner. Rose goes into great detail about not only WHY this is so important to start early on, but also HOW to go about setting all of your social networking and blogging posts to automate, cross-update, etc., in an easy to understand guide.

Rose uses examples from her own writing experiences to make her advice come alive. Her book isn’t just facts and figures laid out in a dry, textbook-like fashion. She keeps it straight to the point (without sugar coating some harsh truths), lets her readers get to know her as an author, and leaves you drooling for more of her great advice.

Thanks to Rose, I understand the different kinds of publishing routes, know what I should be doing to prepare for my writing future at each stage of the journey, and have a greater appreciation for all the hard work that goes into making every single book happen. Any writer serious about publishing will read this book ASAP.”
~R. Brooks via Amazon.com Reviews

So, whenever I find a book that seems to promise a few golden nuggets of marketing information, I get it. I was not disappointed with this book in any way! Not only does it have some fresh ideas (after awhile, they all start saying the same things…don’t they?) but she leaves some great lists to follow at the end!
