Fifty & Fabulous!

Today I turn 50 years old, and I’m super happy to say goodbye to my forties. Worst decade of my life, as you all well know if you follow my life. The last two years have been pretty great, though, maybe even last three.

My life these days is so full of love and friendship, culture and art. I have a really good life here in Portland with Brian and the kittens.

I had two big birthday bashes last weekend to celebrate my existence and survival. The first was an intimate dinner on Friday, November 8th with my mother and 8 of my closest friends. I surprised them all by doing a duet with the amazing Tony Starlight.

“Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”

Saturday night we had a Speakeasy Roaring 20s themed party at Circa33 in their secret backroom. Guests had to tell the bartended the password to get the code to enter. It was amazing!

I made my own birthday cake:

Here are some shots of the fun!

Shuffleboard!

Great turnout with just under 30 friends. Some of my dearest here:

Me and my amazing partner Brian. I feel so fortunate and grateful for him.

It was perfection.

Happy Birthday to ME!
