This blog, I’m ashamed to admit, has been very much on and off for the past year, expressly against my own advice! This is what happens when an author tries to maintain two separate author personae. Not enough time. Not enough energy.
I’m working on merging the two, over time.
My alter ego, O. M. Grey, has seen much more publishing success than Christine Rose has because I’ve been in such a dark place, my fiction and poetry were far too dark and “adult” for “Christine Rose,” so Olivia got the time and energy, largely out of cathartic necessity, as you can see for yourself through my blogging in 2011 and 2012 at Caught in the Cogs. It is coming to fruition, and as things settle down again, I’m able to put more energy into “Christine Rose,” um…me, no quotations needed. The fifth and final Rowan of the Wood book and the Second Edition of Publishing & Marketing Realities for the Emerging Author will allow me to put more energy into this persona, but there is no denying that I’m far more published under O. M. Grey.
I’m thrilled to announce three recently published short stories and a poem by O. M. Grey, dark and fantastic love stories, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
First, O. M. Grey’s horrific short story “Twenty Minutes” and heartbreaking poem “Look Into My Eyes” can be found among the 120 pages of horror fiction, poetry, and photography in The Siren’s Call, Issue #7: Women in Horror Month (pictured above left). Download it for FREE!
Next, Olivia’s charming love story “For the Love of a Book” opens the We Love NY: A Romance Anthology to Raise Funds For Hurricane Sandy Relief, 10% of all revenues will be donated to the Red Cross for survivors of Hurricane Sandy. Get yours through Amazon.com or Riverdale Ave Books, publisher of Avalon Revisited and the sex, spooky short story “A Kiss in the Rain.”

Enjoy them and feel good that you’re helping victims of Hurricane Sandy in the process.
Note: O. M. Grey writes romance, erotica, and very dark fiction, both speculative and literary, so there are adult themes and sometimes very adult content. “Twenty Minutes” and “A Kiss in the Rain” contains *adult* situations and are both very, very dark.
A Gothic erotic ghost story from another era, “A Kiss in the Rain” is the tale of Eliot, a professor and inventor, and his unbearable grief over the loss of his dead wife. Though an expert in the new invention of electricity, it seems that even modern science cannot bring her back, but maybe there is a force even more powerful?
“For the Love of a Book” is a wondrous tale appropriate for all ages.
