Past Lives Holiday Bizarre This Friday — Come See My New Sculptures and Seasonal Art!

This Friday, December 5, from 5–10 p.m., Past Lives Makerspace is hosting its Holiday Bizarre: A Sale of Art & Oddities, and I’m thrilled to be part of it. The event is free, open to the public, and part of SE Portland’s First Friday Art Walk, so it’s the perfect night to explore local art, support community makers, and find unique holiday gifts.

Past Lives will transform into a lively, eclectic market featuring handcrafted work across metal, wood, ceramics, textiles, glass, fine art, writing, and more. There will also be live art experiences, music, food and drink, and a silent auction with some fantastic items up for grabs.

What I’ll Be Showing

I’ll be exhibiting a collection of new and recent work—pieces I’ve been creating over the past few months in metal, stained glass, and watercolor. Highlights include:

Everything is handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, and made with the spirit of reuse, imagination, and a little bit of weirdness—very on brand for Past Lives.

Why This Event Matters

Past Lives Makerspace is a community built on craft, collaboration, and second chances. The organization uplifts marginalized voices and supports artists—including many who are rebuilding their lives through creative work. It’s a place filled with resilience, humor, and incredible talent, and the Holiday Bizarre is one of the best opportunities all year to experience that energy firsthand.

If you’re in Portland, come stop by, say hello, and browse some amazing art from local makers. Whether you’re holiday shopping or simply looking for inspiration, it’s always a night to remember.
